Quote from Wei Wu Wei

I just recently read one of Wei Wu Wei’s best books “Posthumous Pieces” but just today I dipped my finger into the book “The Tenth Man” and found this gem:

“In dualistic language ‘I’ just stands for the Latin ‘Ego’ which is a concept without any factual existence, i.e. a complex which must be resolved because its psychological presence constitutes bondage. But, used in a metaphysical term, it implies This-which-we-are as opposed to That-which-we-think-we-are but are not.”

  1. Yes, there are two aspects to I and/or ‘I’! I am Ego, and yet ‘I’ am simply being …

… ‘1Yogi2Many’ uses ‘I’ as a metaphysical term, the implication being This-which-we-are as opposed to That-which-we-think-we-are but are not.

    Very nice 😉

  2. Ah. Words words words.

Defining dualistic and metaphysical term creates even more separation and confusion.
